Earlier in the school year all our children were asked to think of an invention with the brief of helping someone. All entries were then sent off as part of the Primary Engineer Award. As you may know our children did a brilliant job with many receiving a certificate for a ‘Highly Commended Entry’. This included:

YR4 Poppy “High Up Bed for Disabled Children”

YR4 Amelia “Reading Glasses”

YR4 Martin “Tracker Bracelet”

YR4 Scarlett “Wheelchair Slide”

YR5 Jayden “Unstoppable Fuel Tank”

YR5 Sophie “Made to Move Shoes”

However we also had some winning entries. These children were invited to a special award ceremony in Rochdale where they were presented with a trophy and a framed certificate. These entries may also be made into prototypes over the summer!

The Winning Entries were:

Reception Winner Lily “Blanket with hot water bottle inside covered in fluff”

Reception Winner Maisie-Lee “The house with insulation”

YR4 Winner Freddie “Blind Vending Machine”

Well done to all our children, we are very proud of you all!
