Attendance

Timing of the School Day

Breakfast club starts at 8am, last admissions to breakfast club are 8.30am.

Children’s learning starts at 8.30am. Please ensure your child arrives on time.

Illness and Appointments

If your child is going to be absent due to illness, please inform the school office before 8.30am.

If your child has not arrived at school on time and we have not been informed we will contact you to check they are safe and see why they are not in school. If we cannot make contact with you, we will call all of your emergency contacts.

If we are still unable to contact you, a home visit will be conducted.

The following link may help you decide if you think your child is too ill for school:

If your child is off for more than one day, please make sure that you let us know each morning that they won’t be in school again to avoid us having to call you to find out how they are. If a child is absent for 5 days, we will conduct a home visit.

Appointments

If your child has a medical or dental appointment, please inform the school office beforehand. We also ask that you provide proof of appointment.

Children must be collected from the school office for appointments, where they should be signed out before leaving school. If a child returns to school during the day, they must be signed back in.

Thank you for your support and cooperation in keeping our pupils safe.
